Our Story
Hello! I'm Chloe. Welcome to Bow So Cute.
It all began in late 2020 whilst searching for a beautiful gift for a friend’s baby girl.
I spent hours trawling the internet, trying to find a set of bows that were dainty, elegant and functional. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t anything I that loved. The majority of the bows I saw were either huge, or extremely vibrant - neither of which are mine (and more importantly, my friends) style. However, Here in England, we were in the midst of a third lockdown, so I had plenty of time on my hands. That’s when I decided to try my hand at making my own baby bows. That same week, I dusted off my mums old sewing machine, and got to work.
After making those first bows, a couple of friends suggested I set up an Instagram page to document my new hobby, and maybe even advertise my bows to sell to others. I didn’t know much about social media, or advertising, but I decided to try none the less. I expected my new-found passion for sewing to fizzle out once lockdown was over, but over the next few weeks, my following started to grow, I got the hang of the sewing machine, and orders started to trickle in. It seemed like I could really make a go of this little ‘side hustle’!
Fast forward one year, my business has grown and I needed more space than what my dining room could offer, so I rented a small storage unit. At this time, I was still working full-time in London, commuting 3 hours a day, but I dedicated every spare moment to working on Bow So Cute. I paid an extra monthly fee at the unit which allowed late-night access, so each night, that’s where I could be found!
In 2023, I quit my 9-5, moved the business out of our little unit and into our dedicated office space, and dived headfirst into full time self employment. I’ve never looked back!
We continue to grow and expand, with wonderful customers (and stockists) all around the world. We had the incredible opportunity to showcase Bow So Cute at a week long pop-up shop in John Lewis in December 2023.
In 2024, we were honoured to selected as an SBS winner by Dragons Den’s Theo Paphitis, and joined his business network.
